About Benign Skin Lesions

Benign skin lesions include moles, cysts, lipomas, seborrhoeic keratoses, and other non-cancerous growths. These are common and usually harmless but may be removed for cosmetic reasons, if they become irritated, or if there is any concern about changes in appearance.

Removal of skin lesions may be simple or complex, depending on the size of the lesion and its location.  A Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon will be able to tailor the excision and reconstruction to minimise the scarring and cosmetic impact of the procedure.
